Balugto “HOPE” Agroforestry Association Incorporated is a farmer-led group of carrot producers and traders in the Sitio Mispa and San Miguel highlands in Talakag, Bukidnon. It is led by their president, Mr. Randy John D. Uy, an experienced farmer. They engage in organic carrot production, vermicomposting, and livestock raising. The organization benefits from the DOST-X and CMU ATBI partnership project entitled “Enhancing the Chemical-Free Carrot Food Value Chain through Smart Technologies and Partnerships towards Food Resiliency in the New Normal in Region 10”. They also received 30 heads of buffalo from Philippine Carabao Center (PCC).
